Minister for Tribal Affairs and Higher Education, Temjen Imna Along launched the official website of the department of tribal affairs, www.tribalaffairs.nagaland.gov.in, on August 6 at the conference hall of the chief secretary, Kohima.
According to a DIPR report, while addressing the launching programme, Along shared that the department had entered its second year and was working towards the welfare of the people in the state and its beneficiaries.
He informed that the website would effectively implement different welfare schemes and programmes for the scheduled tribe community in Nagaland.
Along appreciated the department of information technology and communication for developing the much needed website and hoped that the people would make use of it. Also speaking at the programme, chief secretary and AHoD tribal affairs, J Alam stated that all departments should have proper updated websites and information should be available to the people.
