Imnainla Jamir becomes India’s first female Ibanez guitar endorsee

Naga musician Imnainla Jamir has achieved a major milestone in her musical journey by becoming an official endorsee of the globally renowned guitar brand Ibanez, making her the first female Ibanez guitar endorsee from India.
According to a press release, as an Ibanez endorsee, she will represent the brand and perform using its instruments, joining a global community of artists associated with the iconic label. Expressing her gratitude, she thanked Hoshino Gakki (Ibanez Japan) and Music Distribution Company (Mumbai) for facilitating the endorsement and providing her with an international platform.
She also acknowledged the continued support of her family, well-wishers and the Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA), which has supported her musical journey over the years.
“It is truly an honour to be part of the Ibanez family. I hope this journey inspires more young musicians from our region and beyond to pursue their passion,” Imnainla said.
Widely respected for its innovation and craftsmanship, Ibanez guitars are used by some of the world’s most celebrated musicians. Imnainla has earned recognition for her distinctive playing style, strong stage presence and dedication to her craft.
According to TaFMA, her inclusion in the brand’s national and international roster reflects recognition of her talent, musicality and growing influence as a guitarist and performer.
