Advisor Cooperation Imtilemba Sangtam attended the 6th National Labour Cooperatives Congress which was held at IAPDD conference hall, New Delhi on Friday.
The programme was held under the theme “Role of labour cooperatives in Make in India, Skill India and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ with Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Sudarshan Bhagat as the chief guest.
According to a press release by Nagaland House New Delhi, PRO Kuolie Mere, the main focus of congress was the role of labour cooperatives in Make in India, Skill India and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan as per appeal made by the Prime Minister of India.
The congress also reviewed the implementation of recommendation of 5th National Labour Cooperatives Congress and considered the achievements, problems of labour cooperatives in details.
Delegates from labour cooperatives and special invitees from central and state government, NABARD, national cooperatives organizations, NGOs, international organizations participated in the congress.
Imtilemba Sangtam was accompanied by Velasa Nakhro, registrar of Cooperatives Societies and department officers from the state.
Advisor Imtilemba Sangtam also met Union Minister of State for Agriculture Mohanbhai Kalyanjibhai Kundariya and discussed on department project like ICDP, NCDC and other projects.
The union minister, on his part, assured to extend all possible help to the state and also informed that he is planning to visit the state in the first week of May 2016.
