Imtilemba Sangtam inaugurates MARCOFED market complex in Dmu

Nagaland State Cooperative Marketing & Consumer’s Federation Ltd. (MARCOFED) marketing complex was officially inaugurated on January 30 at Signal Basti, Dimapur by advisor cooperation department, A. Imtilemba Sangtam as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest urged the officers and staff to motivate the members of cooperative societies so that the societies can progress well and achieve financial gain.
He regretted that the cooperation department despite having assets and infrastructure has not been performing up to the mark. He said about one crore rupees are being spend each month on salary for staff of cooperative department. 
Presenting a brief report on construction of the market, executive director, MARCOFED Ltd, T. V. Zhimomi stated that a total amount of Rs. 378.78 lakh was spent on the project.
The construction was funded with financial assistance received from the state government, he said. Zhimomi also said one godown of 1000 metric tonnes capacity and two chambers of 6 metric tonnes capacity each with ice plant was available at the market.
Secretary, cooperation department, O. T. Chingmak Chang IAS also delivered a short speech on the occasion.
Senior pastor, Sumi Baptist Church Dimapur, Rev. S. Vitoshe Swu said the invocation prayer for the programme which was chaired by RCS& MD MARCOFED Ltd, VelasaNakro.
