
As part of the SBI Gram Seva Programme implemented in five adopted villages by ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA), Don Bosco, under Chümoukedima sub-division of Dimapur district, namely, Diezephe, Bade and Urra were formally inaugurated on February 22.
SBI Diphupar, Dimapur branch manager Jacky Chetri and chief manager credit, SBI Regional Business Office, Dimapur Branch Peter Khrasi, who were the special guest for the occasion emphasised on PM social security schemes.
They also spoke on digital banking, online internet banking for financial transaction which can be easily obtained from Android phones.
Community members were also encouraged towards entrepreneurship for which the bank would be available to help sincere candidates.
While welcoming the guests, executive director-AIDA, Rev. Fr. Roy George SDB, thanked SBI Foundation for choosing the five villages presented by AIDA to implement this programme.
He also thanked village authorities and concerned leaders for providing space to set up GSK offices and their cooperation towards the Gram Seva programme.
Earlier, program manager Pfokho John and convergence officer, SBI Gram Seva – AIDA, Imnayangla Jamir highlighted about GSK administrator while Bosco BED College, Rev. Fr. Varghese Mechery SDB pronounced prayer to bless the SBI Gram Seva programme.
It may be noted that digitalisation is one of the focus areas of the Gram Seva Programme and GSK is centre.
GSK which is a community information centre will help the community in availing facilities such as printing, photo copying and other online services.
