Naga Hoho (NH) has once again appealed to the Government of India (GoI) to ensure that the final solution was inclusive of all parties and that there should not be further division arising out of “piecemeal” agreement, adding unity was the only way forward.
NH gave a clarion call to all Nagas, particularly national workers, to leave aside their differences for the sake of peace and tranquillity in “our land” and unite for peaceful solution that would pave way for a lasting peace. Noting that Nagas’ quest for peace and to live as equals had come a long way, NH said “freedom fighters” had sacrificed their lives for the cause of Naga independence and sovereignty, while some decided to betray in the past, which made the people suffer untold miseries in the process of “our struggle”.
Notwithstanding the sufferings, torture, rape and murder, NH said Naga freedom fighters had kept the movement alive, which helped “us assert our rights” as a free people without any fear and doubts.
And today, time and opportunity for Nagas had come once again to choose and decide our destiny, it added.
