Smriti Mandhana broke the record for the most calendar runs scored in Women’s ODIs during the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 match against South Africa in Visakhapatnam on Thursday, reports Sportstar.
The Indian opener surpassed the record of 970 scored by former Australia captain Belinda Clark in 1997.
The left-hander has aggregated her runs in 17 matches at an average close to 60 and a strike rate of 113.76. She has scored four centuries in 2025. The next best Indian on the list is Deepti Sharma, who scored 787 runs in 20 matches in 2017.
