Independent candidate Imchatoba Imchen on Thursday held a declaration program for his candidature at his native village Mangmetong in the presence of the Mangmetong village council.
Declaring his candidature, Imchatoba explained his vision for Koriodang and the Naga people. He further said that through this election, Koridang will carry and signal a big message to the state.
He also appealed for a free and fair election stating that every eligible elector should be able to exercise their franchise without any coercion and influences. Following the declaration, a brief program was held at the Yimlang mepu of the village. The declaration marked the formal beginning of his campaign activities in the village.
