The 11th edition of the Lotha football championship organised by Wokha District Football Association (WDFA) has entered its third day on January 31 at local ground Wokha.
In the first match, Friends Club Wokha crushed Glory Hunter 5-2. Lironthung of Friends Club Wokha village scored the first hat trick. Lironthung who is currently playing for Punjab Football Club and a product of Mohan Bagan Academy scored the first hat trick of the tournament in the 34th, 59th and 63rd minutes. The other two goals for Friends Club were scored by Awangbo and Rashamo.
In the second match, Titans XI outplayed Lightning Eagles by 4-0. The match between A1 Tsungiki and Tsumang Football Club ended in 1-1 draw after playing the full allotted time, a late goal from Kekhrie Angami scored in the 60th minute gave A1 Tsungiki a lead but their goal was short-lived as Mhonchan scored the equalizing goal of Tsumang FC in the dying minute of the game to make the tally 1-1.
The last match of the day was played between XI Brothers and Englan Range FC, Englan Range won the match by an early goal which came from the boot of Suben Patton in the 4th minutes of the game.
