12th SAT presentation ceremony held at Sürümi

The 12th Sürümi Award Trust (SAT) presentation ceremony for academic excellence was held on December 28 at Sürümi Baptist Church (Aizuto), wherein seven recipients were felicitated.
A press release by SAT informed that guest speaker, director, higher education and SAT trustee, Dr. N. Katoni Jakhalu encouraged the students to work hard and acquire quality education to achieve their goals.
Pointing out that jobs in government sector has reached a saturation point, Dr. Jakhalu encouraged the educated youths to venture into other avenues to earn livelihood and be self-sufficient.
She also emphasised on the need to for education institutions to provide skill-based education to students, and asserted the need to channelise one’s creative sides.
The ceremony chaired by Ilikiye Yeptho started with an invocation by Ashibo Zhimo and welcome speech by VCC, Vitoyi Awomi.
Special number was presented by Akatoli and Bethel and pastors, Hekuto Aye and Hito Chishi offered special prayers for the awardees and successful candidates of various competitive examinations.
The “ SAT Akighiche Saxu 2022” recipients are – Nikito Awomi (Village based), Mount View School, Suruhuto; Vikai Sumi (Suruhuto area), Mount View School, Suruhuto; Sulimi G Jakhalu (Urban NBSE), Cornerstone HSS, Zunheboto and K. Kaito Awomi (Urban Other Boards), St. JGS, Ikishe (Chumo). The “SAT-PGLAAMC Award for the Subject topper in MIL (Sumi)”, Kili Sumi, Mount View School, Suruhuto.
The “SAT-SJET Award for Overall NBSE Topper amongst Surumi Students”, Elina H Sumi (2021), Mount View School, Suruhuto and Sulimi G Jakhalu (2022), Cornerstone HSS, Zunheboto.
