A Z Jami who recently resigned from NSCN (K) has rejoined the NSCN (I-M) along with ten others from Lotha region.
An MIP statement from the NSCN (I-M) claimed that Jami rued his days spent as a member of the K group and felt relieved to part from it. His assignment as a convenor of the council of ministers remained only in name, the statement said quoting Jami.
According to the MIP statement, Jami also said that no budget session or files record existed and that execution of financial matters was done all for personal pocket. Pointing out lack of political perspective, the MIP quoted Jami as saying, “There is no hope at all in the K group therefore don’t got to their organization. If we die we better die in the NSCN”. The statement said Jami revealed that he was selected alongwith Wangtin Konyak by Khaplang to represent their group at the Chiangmai meeting but alleged it was sabotaged by Kitovi who questioned the necessity to go abroad when peace and reconciliation process was already going on at Dimapur.
The MIP said that the other ten members while giving their own reasons for the change in allegiance expressed regret for having joined the K group in the first place as it was run and controlled by few individuals whose egos and whims only mattered. It said the ten persons expressed that they took cognizance of the Yaruiwo’s proclamation on 13 January 2007 for reconciliation and unity and thereby accepting the collective leadership. They shifted allegiance to NSCN to achieve the nation’s cherished goal, the MIP added.
