Lotha Hoho supports PIC

Public Information Campaign (PIC), which is being organized by Press Information Bureau, Government of India, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in association with Directorate of Field Publicity, Kohima and other sister media units of Ministry of Information Broadcasting is getting all support from the various organizations of Wokha district.
“Public Information Campaign of the flagship programmes of the Central Government will benefit the common public and help reduce the scourge of corruption because of ignorance of basic guidelines of the various schemes,” said N. Nugllie, chairman, Lotha Hoho, during the meeting convened by Press Information Bureau, Kohima at Tourist Lodge Wokha. He also said that these kind of public information campaigns should be organized periodically to disseminate information to the common public. He assured all support from his organization and appealed other organizations present during the meeting to take part in the campaign to make it a success.
Speaking during the meeting Zuchopeni, chairman ELOE, Hoho also expressed support from the women organizations of Wokha district.
Earlier, Pankaj Pandey, deputy director, PIB, Government of India and Nodal Officer of the campaign welcomed all for attending the meeting and sought help to reach out the common man through the public information campaign.
The three day Public Information Campaign on Bharat Nirman will be inaugurated by Ralanthung Yanthan, deputy speaker, Nagaland Legislative Assembly on October 23 in the Don Bosco Conference Hall. The venue for the second day of Public Information Campaign is Wokha Village where technical sessions on Sarv Siksha Abhiyan, Mid-day Meal and National Rural Health Mission would be organized. Community Hall of Longsa Village is the main venue for the third and last day of the campaign where technical sessions on Bharat Nirman, Integrated Child Development Scheme and Right to Information Act would be organized.
Technical sessions will be followed by interactive session in which resource persons will answer queries of common public and media persons.
