DNYO, DNSU condemn

Diphupar Naga Youth Organization (DNYO) and Diphupar Naga Students’ Union (DNSU) have condemned the reported incident near Diphupar Gate where a pastor and his colleagues were robbed off their mobile phones and cash by some unidentified gunmen, early Friday morning. DNSU president Kitoi Sumi and DNYO president Thejangulie Suokhrie in a joint press statement said the pastor and his colleagues who were on their way to Kohima in their church vehicle (Chakro Baptist Church Council), were robbed off their valuables at gunpoint by the miscreants despite several appeals. After snatching the mobile phones and money, the gunmen threatened the pastor and his friends and chased them away, the release stated. Terming the incident as against the principle of a Christian faith, the two youth bodies appealed the authority to provide security to the public, especially in view of the approaching Christmas season.
