NFA clarifies

In response to a news item regarding “loss of voting rights by the Nagaland Football Association (NFA) in the next annual general meeting”, the NFA has clarified that Nagaland was not allowed the voting rights in the next annual general meeting after it failed to participate in the Under-21 last year.
NFA president, Atou Mezhür said however the election of the AIFF president will not be held in the next annual general meeting, “but the election will be held likely in March 2009 only”.
He also pointed out that Nagaland will regain the voting rights only after participating in the under-19 in December 2008 and under-21 in January 2009.
