NPF lured MLAs:Cong

Holding the NPF responsible for resignation of two Congress MLAs, the NPCC said the “unprincipled MLAs succumbed to monetary gains, assurance of ticket and finance from NPF Party and Cabinet berth in the NPF government” in total disregard to people’s welfare.
“It is ridiculous to observe that in a most bizarre manner the NPF Party has prompted the two Congress MLAs Kejong Chang and Aloh Wangham to resign from their respective position even before completing one year in office,” NPCC vice president (Adm) Zaclh Vadeo said in a release on Saturday.
The NPCC maintained that acknowledging and accepting Congress ideology, policies and programmes, people of the two constituencies elected the two MLAs. But, the two MLAs betrayed the people’s trust and put democracy into utter shame and mockery, it said.
The NPCC also condemned what it called “diabolical designs of the NPF Government who by virtue of its being in power have used huge amount of money and facilities to lure the two money-mongers and selfish MLAs and created this messy political situation.”
It further said NPCC president KV Pusa earlier made it clear that the Congress was not for toppling the government but for constructive criticism and support. The NPCC cautioned that if the NPF government was toppled in the near future, the Congress should not be blamed.
