550gm stone removed from urinary bladder

Termed to be a major achievement, doctors of Diphu Civil Hospital surgically removed a stone weighing 550 gm from the urinary bladder of a patient on April 23.
The stone, “second largest object” claimed by the doctors at the hospital was removed from a middle aged male patient. Dr. Denthong Teron, who operated the patent said, “On records the largest calculus, weighing 6294 gm was reported by Arthure in 1953, and this calculus was thought to have been formed in a bladder diverticulums. Dr Denthong Teron was assisted by a team of doctors Dr R. Thakur, Dr SA Ronghang, Anesthetist; Dr Angel Timung.
After the operation the patent was released from the hospital and his condition stated to be stable.
