A programme on distribution of “Aerobio” complete human waste management solution, blue & green waste bins & flag-off of road sweeper vehicles was held at Aerobio Manufacturing Unit, Thilixu Atosa, Dimapur on November 19.
According to DPRO Dimapur report, guest of honor, advisor, municipal affairs and urban development, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire said that the use of Aerobio properly would bring a change in the society.
Presentation on Aerobio was conducted by proprietor, Aerobio Production Unit, Watinuksung Jamir who informed that Aerobio was an indigenous formulation consisting of novel bacterial consortia.
Aerobio can completely break down human feces and rapidly make an environment foul odour free. It can metabolise complex forms of substrates that constitute the feces aerobically, he informed.
He also informed that Aerobio eliminated the odour and harmful causing agents completely and no methane gas was generated.
Further, he said that the end result would be CO2 and water and the water would be sub-neutral to neutral pH and could be recycled for multiple uses.
Speech on usage of blue & green waste bins was delivered by joint director, DMA, Temjenrenla Kechü who highlighted on solid waste management which consisted of three categories: biodegradable, recyclable and inert waste.
The blue bins were for dry waste and the green bins for wet waste. The proper utilisation of it can improve waste problem up to 60 – 70 percentage, Temjenrenla informed.
Aerobio and waste bins were distributed to all the ULBs under Dimapur district.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by additional director & HoD, DMA, A. Chenithung Lotha and vote of thanks was proposed by joint director, DMA, Temjenrenla Kechü.
Advisor, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire also flagged off the road sweeper vehicles during the event.
