SBAK Nito Mount, women conference-cum-75th anniversary, which got underway on December 10, 2021 at Lizutomi Baptist Church (LBC) under Zunheboto district on the theme “Soaring Higher” (Isaiah 40:31), came to a close Sunday evening.
The three-day event was organised by SBAK NM, department of women ministry and hosted by LBC. The 75th anniversary celebration, which marked an important milestone in the field of women ministry, brought together over 3000 believers from around 120 churches under SBAK NM.
While delivering message in the morning session, advisor for food & civil supplies, legal metrology & consumer protection and taxes, Pukhayi Sumi, reminded the congregation that attaining 75 years was a huge achievement, adding they must now be matured in every aspect.
Asking the womenfolk whether they were having close relationship with God, the advisor encouraged them to remain calm and composed and be sincere in their faith.
On the occasion, Aloino centre director Anshely Sumi delivered sermon based on the topic “women: the light of their people” (Esther 2:16-18).
Earlier, short messages were also delivered by former women secretary Dr. Niholi Sema, former women secretary Kuholi Chishi and incumbent secretary, department of women ministry Katoli V Sumi.
In the closing session, SBAK (NM) mission and evangelism secretary Vihoto Awomi delivered sermon on the topic “The liberated lives” (Galatians 5:13-14).
Other highlights of the morning and closing sessions included Esther’s prayer by former women secretary Qhesheli Sumo, special number “women of faith” by former women secretaries, song by SBCZ choir, choreography by Sumi Baptist Church Akuluto, reading out of committee resolutions and vote of thanks by chairperson women executive SBAK NM.
