Staff Reporter

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) informed that the party will take out the Bharat Jodo Yatra (BJY) on November 19, commemorating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi.
This was stated by Bharat Jodo Yatra state committee joint coordinator and chairman NPCC minority department, Rajesh Kumar Sethi at a press conference here Tuesday at Congress Bhavan. He said that the yatra will start from DC court junction at 7 a.m. on November 19 till Chümoukedima gate-1.
From DC Court Junction, the yatra will pass through Dhobinala police point and make a brief halt at Naga Shopping Arcade, where the party members will address the public. Then, the yatra will head towards Agri expo area where members will address the public before it culminates at Chümoukedima gate-1.
Sethi said that the primary objective of the yatra was to unite the country against the “divisive politics” of the BJP-led Central government.
NPCC secretary and BJY state committee joint coordinator Akavi N Zhimomi, while highlighting the objective of the yatra, said that it was not Rahul Gandhi’s Yatra but a movement for unity and prosperity of the citizens of India.
He lamented that society has been constantly divided on the basis of caste, religion, region etc. Besides the economy being in tatters and demonetization affecting the public, he also said unemployment was at its highest level.
He, therefore, appealed to all like-minded people, communities, civil societies and organizations to come along and join the Yatra.
