DoSW fetes Noke; holds annual conference

Department of Social Welfare (DoSW) organised a felicitation programme for advisor of Social Welfare, Noke Wangnao, cum annual officer’s conference 2023 on June 21 at Highland Park, Kohima.
A press release by the department informed that in his speech, Noke asked the officers to work sincerely and to be available in their place of posting.
Speaking at the programme, secretary DoSE, Martha R. Ritse expressed gratitude to Noke and said she looks forward to his abled leadership for the upliftment of the department.
Ritse also asked the department officers to effectively implement the department schemes, particularly the three new Umbrella schemes- Mission Vatsalya, Mission Shakti and Mission Roshan 2.0 and Saksham Anganwadi.
She said implementation of the schemes would stratify and streamline welfare measures for women and children to achieve holistic development, while placing on record the vast network of District and Project Offices tied with 7960 Anganwadi Workers and helpers owned by the department rendering ICDS and welfare services across the villages of Nagaland.
She also acknowledged the leadership of the director of Social Welfare, Tosheli Zhimomi.
At the programme obituary was also paid to three officers. Felicitation and presentation was given by Social Welfare, Mission Vatsalya and Mission Shakti, Poshan Abhiyaan and All Nagaland Child Development Project Officers Association (ANCDPOA).
The programme was chaired by DoSW director, Tosheli Zhimomi, Baptist Church Meriema, pastor in-charge, Kelhoulezo Shuya invoked God’s blessing; special song was presented by directorate officers and vote of thanks by deputy director, T. Neingusalie.
