Rains likely to continue over NE

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that very heavy to extremely heavy rainfalls over North East region and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim were very likely to continue during next two days and decrease gradually thereafter.
In its daily bulletin, the Met department stated that thunderstorm with lightning was likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam & Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on June 22. It also stated that heavy to very heavy rainfall was very likely at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya on June 23. IMD stated that day temperatures had no large change over Assam, Mizoram & Tripura while it appreciably rose over Manipur and appreciably fell over Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile, IMD has warned that heat wave to severe heat wave conditions was very likely to continue in isolated pockets over Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, interior Odisha on June 22 and heat wave conditions in isolated pockets over Bihar, Jharkhand, East UP, East MP, Telangana and abatement of heat wave conditions over the region thereafter.
