ZSU holds career guidance seminar

Zhadima Students’ Union (ZSU) organised a career guidance seminar for its members who cleared HSLC and HSSLC exams 2023 at the village community hall on July 1.
Resource persons at the seminar were Head of the Department of History at St. Joseph University Dr. Avinuo Chüpuo and teacher at Zhadima Government High School, Sedevilhou Chüpuo.
In her presentation, Dr Avinuo gave a comprehensive insight into the diverse range of subjects available for study and the corresponding career opportunities associated with each field.
Dr. Chüpuo stressed on the importance of prioritizing mental well-being alongside physical health in the current era.
Recognizing the significance of maintaining a balanced and healthy state of mind, she encouraged students to place emphasis on their mental health.
Additionally, she offered valuable advice to students, stressing on the importance of obedience and respect towards their parents. She highlighted the role of parents in guiding and supporting their children’s educational and personal growth.
Later, Sedevilie Chüpuo, imparted valuable insights on discovering and creating employment opportunities within the village.
Encouraging the students, he emphasized the importance of not only putting in hard work but also employing smart strategies.
He conveyed the significance of utilizing innovative approaches, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to enhance their chances of success in the job market.
Guest speaker during the event, senior program officer, Directorate of Information Technology & Communication, Ruokuovizo Chüpuo motivated the students to adopt a forward-thinking perspective in regards to their future goals and aspirations.
He emphasized the two key emotions, namely joy and fear, significantly influence individuals’ life choices and experiences.
Chüpuo urged students to reflect on the factors that bring them happiness as well as the things they fear in life.
He discussed opportunities for students to delve into cutting-edge fields such as nanotechnology, neuroscience, information technology, and others.
On the occasion, chairman, Zhadima Village Council, Neilalhoulie Soliezuo, shared on the significant changes in the lives of students in comparison to the past.
Soliezuo emphasized the importance of utilizing technology wisely to augment knowledge and skills. However, he cautioned students to be mindful of the potential drawbacks and negative effects that technology.
The programme was attended by students, parents and village leaders.
