Railway board approves Zubza-Imphal new line project

Railway Board has approval for the final location survey (FLS) of the 140 km Zubza (Nagaland) – Imphal (Manipur) new line project.
In a press release, Northeast Frontier Railway’s chief public relations officer (CPRO) Sabyasachi De stated that the new line project would provide direct connectivity between Nagaland and Manipur.
CPRO also informed that the works for Dimapur-Kohima new railway line project, which takes off from the Dhansiri station of Assam to Zubza adjacent to Kohima, was also in progress.
As a part of the state capital connectivity projects and the international connectivity projects under NFR, the sanctioned final location survey for Zubza–Imphal new line project would provide a direct route to boost the interstate connectivity in the region, CPRO added.
