State College of Teacher Education, Kohima conducted orientation programes in two phases for the teachers of Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) from January 29 to February 9.
The program was sponsored by the Nagaland Tribal Institute, Department of Tribal Affairs and funded by TRI Division, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
A total of 43 teacher participants from Eklavya Model Residential School Tizit, Tuensang and Diphupar attended the program.
The first phase of the orientation was for Social Science, English, Hindi, Physical Education, Art, Music and Computer teachers followed by second phase for Maths and Science teachers. The objectives of the orientation programs were to equip the teachers with innovative practices and the skills required in the profession of teaching.
