Wokha Police observe ‘National Road Safety month’

As part of month long National Road Safety month 2024, Wokha police under the aegis of Superintendent of Police, organized drawing/ painting competitions on February 10. The event was held at Regimental School DEF Wokha, and the competition was held on the theme “Be A Road Safety Hero”.


Addl. Superintendent of Police Wokha, K Soriso spoke on the need and importance of road safety measures to be followed by each and every individuals in order to avoid loss of life, injuries, damage to properties etc.
He also encouraged all the participating students to be an ambassador for road safety by sharing their knowledge gained to all their loved ones and friends.


In the competition, Chumben Odyuo of Don Bosco Higher Secondary School bagged the first prize. Shanchobeni Yanthan and Tsanthungo Kinghen both of Regimental School DEF Wokha secured the second and third places respectively. All winners and participants were awarded cash award and certificates by K Soriso.
