With an aim to implement PM’s initiative of Ayushman Bharat in far-flung villages, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp Gaili Namdi village of Peren district on February 9.
According to AR source, at the camp, various health concerns prevalent in the village including anaemia, sprains, blunt injuries and viral fever were examined.
The medical camp also facilitated early diagnosis and management of hypertension among some villagers. Around 150 villagers including women, senior citizens and children attended the medical camp and availed the benefits.
Meanwhile, Assam Rifle as part of its civic action programme, organsied “A Day with Company Commander” for school students at Ghaspani in Chumoukedima district on February 10.
A total of 56 students and 10 teachers from Hope Academy School, Dimapur participated in the event, centered around the theme “life through soldiers’ eyes”. The activities included wreath laying to honor the Bravehearts, display of administrative stores and equipment, dog show and Pipe Band display.
