NEISSR’s Rural Camp concludes

A total of 68 Master of Social Work (MSW) 2nd Semester and 24 Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) 4th Semester trainees from the North East Institute of Social Sciences and Research, Chumoukedima, embarked on a ten-day journey to Mezoma and Zhavame villages, respectively as part of their academic activity.

From, January 31 to February 9, the trainees delved into a transformative rural camp experience, driven by their dedication to understanding rural social studies and nurturing personal growth through communal living. Under the theme “Leaving No One Behind,” by UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, advocating for “Quality Education,” the students endeavored to uplift rural communities through educational advancement.

Culminating in the ascent of Mount Kapamodzü, Nagaland’s fourth highest peak, the camp embodied the institute’s commitment to community engagement and sustainable development.
