Reaffirming on the sale of alcohol under Diphupar Village Council (DVC) jurisdiction, the Diphupar Naga Women Organization (DNWO) on Monday destroyed seized IMFL worth around Rs. 1.5 lakh at the DVC Hall on Monday.
President, DNWO, Khriezovonuo Angami informed Nagaland Post that the organization, under the aegis of DVC, conducted inspections within the village jurisdiction, resulted in the confiscation of prohibited IMFL.
Since January, she informed that the organization has seized IMFL worth around Rs. 1.5 lakh in the market. The disposal of the seized alcohol was carried out in the presence of Diphupar Village Council members, Diphupar Naga Youth Organization representatives, Diphupar Naga Students Union members, and village elders. Angami further emphasized the continuation of ban on sale of alcohol under DVC jurisdiction, and warned of stringent action against the defaulters.
