Naga designer participatesat Homo Faber event in Venice

Aku Zeliang, principal designer of Cane Concept, and founder of Urra Design, is participating at the esteemed Homo Faber event in Venice, Italy from September 1 to 30.


Homo Faber, curated by Michelangelo Foundation, Geneva, with the aim of promoting more human, inclusive and sustainable future by celebrating the creations of human hand, is a cultural movement that celebrates creativity and contemporary craftsmanship biennially.


This event brings together skilled artisans, designers and maker from all round the world to exhibit and showcase their exceptional craftsmanship and innovative designs.
In this year’s edition, Aku Zeliang, in collaboration with Gunjan Gupta, is representing craftsmanship of Northeast India through the project called, “The Tokri Chair”.


During the event, Zeliang would have the chance to showcase the work, participate in workshops and discussion and engage with fellow attendees from diverse backgrounds.
