Nagaland governor La Ganesan and chief minister Neiphiu Rio have extended greetings to the members of the Khiamniungan and Pochury communities on the occasion of Tsokum and Yemshe festivals respectively.
In his message to Khiamniungan community, Ganesan prayed that the spirit of unity, gratitude, and abundance fill their heart and home.
He also hoped that the blessings of festival guide all toward a prosperous and harmonious future.
In another message to the Pochury community, the governor prayed that the traditions they uphold continue to guide and inspire all. He called upon all to embrace the spirit of gratitude and togetherness, as they look forward to a prosperous harvest and a brighter future.
In a post on X, chief minister Neiphiu prayed that the celebration of welcoming a new harvest (Yemshe festival) bring hope, unity and abundant blessings to every household.
On the occasion of Tsokum, Rio said it was a time of unity, sharing food and joy with family, friends and strangers while reminding all of the love they find in a community.
Patton: Deputy chief minister Y.Patton has also extended greeting to the Khiamniungans and Pochurys on the occasion of Tsokum and Yemshe.
In a message, Patton said that festivals were celebrated with great enthusiasm as passed down from generations. The deputy chief minister, on behalf of the state BJP legislators, conveyed festive greetings and hoped that it was celebrated in unity and brotherhood.
