Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church (LBC) D.Block and Bor Lengri Lotha Baptist Church (BLLBC) observed Pastor Appreciation Day by offering special prayers for the pastors on Sunday.
Kohima LBA held a special celebration at the church premises with Deacon Luidi Chawang as resource person. Luidi Chawang emphasized the importance of honoring pastors and priests who dedicate their lives to preaching and teaching. He said that these leaders were worthy of appreciation for their selfless service and guidance within the congregation.
He highlighted their dedication to God’s work, mentioning that they touch the hearts and souls of individuals daily. Drawing from Jeremiah 3:15, he reminded the audience that pastors are chosen by God to serve His people, providing them with knowledge and understanding.
To honor the pastors, the congregation presented gifts and prepared light refreshments as a gesture of appreciation.
BLLBC: Bor Lengri Lotha Baptist Church (BLLBC) observed Pastor Appreciation Day on Sunday. Sharing the sermon, Highview theological seminary, Chumoukedima Arithung Kikon (based on Hebrews 13:7) emphasized the importance of remembering and honoring past leaders who have significantly impacted the lives of others.
He said those leaders were those who prayed for the people, provided moral guidance, and helped recognize the importance of God and salvation in their lives. He speaker encouraged the congregation to not take their contributions for granted but remember them in their daily prayers.
The service was chaired by youth pastor Thungchamo Ngullie, special song by deacon Yanpothung Odyuo, blessing prayer by women pastor Nzanbeni Patton and bible verse was read by CNY leader Eranbeni Odyuo. The service concluded with a mass prayer.
