The Catechists of St. Peter’s Parish Kiphire (SPPK) held pilgrimage and outreach program from January 3 to 5, 2025.
The initiative of pilgrimage and outreach program was organized by Rev. Fr. Philip Magh, the parish priest of St. Peter’s Kiphire. Rev. Fr. Thomas Toretkiu and Catechists from nine village churches participated in the program.
On day one (January 3) the participants reached Kohima and visited Cathedral a pilgrimage center of the Diocese and celebrated the Holy Eucharist, and proceeded to War Cemetery then to St. Peter parishioners, Tesophenyu.
On the second day (January 4), they visited the churches of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, Chunlikha, St. Mary Church Kendinu, Don Bosco School, Lakhuti, St. Paul’s Church Wokha Town and Doyang Hydro Electric reservoir and power station.
The participants were from St. Peter Church, Kiphire, St. Dominic Savio Church, Kiphire Village, St. Luke Church, Longmatra, St. Alphonsa Church, Ngoromi, Christ King Church, Hurong, St. Stephen Church, Singrep, St. John Church, Kiusam, St. Mary Church, Anatongre, and St. Thomas Church, Phelungre.
