Dimapur District Lotha GBs Union (DDLGBU) has urged all the responsible parties in the foothill road (FHR) construction project to work towards a peaceful resolution, prioritising the greater good of the people in general.
In a press release, DDLGBU chairman M.Y. Ngullie and general secretary T. Yanbothung Kikon asserted that foothills road project was a long-awaited dream for the people in the region, adding that completion of the project would bring immense relief and benefits to all.
The union commended the landowners, who were willing to forgo their right to land compensation, for demonstrating their commitment to the communitys well-being. DDLGBU expressed hope that the parties would arrive at “a mutual acceptable solution” and ensure the project
s timely completion.
Stating that foothills road project was a lifeline for the region`s development and well-being, the union hoped that the responsible parties by collaborating can find a solution that benefited everyone involved.
Further, DDLGBU expressed gratitude to all the parties involved for their efforts in making the project a reality. It said the project was a significant undertaking that would have a great impact to the people in all fronts.
DDLGBU, therefore, reiterated its appeal to all stakeholders to put aside their differences and work together to ensure the project successful completion.
