26 armed cadres from Myanmar-based NSCN (K) led by “Brig.” Pholai Ponglaham, who was also NSCN (K) Wancho Region chairman, have reportedly joined the NSCN (Reformation).
NSCN (R) through its MIP informed that its president Y. Wanetin Naga and ato kilonser P. Tikhak expressed their happiness and lauded the “officers and cadres for taking the right decision in joining the party.”
According to MIP, the collective leaders welcomed them and promised to give them all kind of support to bring lasting peace in all the Naga areas and in particular in Wancho Region.
At a welcoming programme organised on Thursday, MIP said the senior cadres informed that many of them had been in service of the nation for more than three decades, but were deeply disturbed by the division within the Naga groups in recent past.
MIP stated that they reposed their faith and belief in the able of NSCN (R) president and ato kilonser. They also expressed appreciation for the efforts put by the Government of India and Naga groups to resolve the long pending “Indo-Naga issue with all honesty and sincerity.”
