327 screened at free diabetes, dental camp

A free diabetes and dental screening camp was organized by Lions Club Dimapur (LCD) at LCD, midland Dimapur on Sunday.
A total of 372 patients were screened during the camp.
Interacting with LCD members, LCD chairperson Dr Arihant Jain and president Sandeep Bakliwal said it was the first dental camp for the year and planned to organize in the future.
The camp was conducted by five different specialists of dental and one for diabetes namely MD, medicine Dr. C Manpa Phom, oral and maxillofacial surgeon Dr. Ankit Jain, Pedodonist, Dr. Bathel Yeptho, Orthodonist Dr. Arihant Jain, Periodontist Dr. Adiya Apon and Prosthodontist and implanthologist Dr. Manini Monica.
Free medicine were also provided to the patients.
Earlier, an awareness programme was also conducted about certain signs and symptoms, how to take care of the health, etc. During the camp, blood sugar levels were also tested for the patients. The project was executed under the leadership of Lion Sandeep Bakliwal (president, LCD), Lion Sanjay Jaiswal (secretary, LCD) and Lion Dr. Arihant Jain (project chairperson).
