4 held on charge of vehicle theft

Dimapur police has informed that four persons were apprehended by a team of Sub-Urban Police Station with the assistance of Pimla Village Council on May 1, for their involvement in vehicular theft.
In a press release, Dimapur police PRO identified the apprehended miscreants as Vito Awomi (37) son of Latovi Awomi, “SS rajupio” of NSCN (I-M), Tokato Awomi (29) son of Vihokhe Awomi, Kitoka Awomi (35) son of Kashavi Awomi and Kughashe Swu (30) son of Khahexu Swu, all residents of Pimla Village.
PRO said the team recovered three stolen bikes – super splendor, Xpulse 200 (NL07EA 7555) and Xpulse (NL07EB 5953) from their possession. The team also recovered one four-wheeler Alto 800 (AS12P 1424), which was used for the commission of crime.
Further PRO informed that all apprehended accused persons along with the seized vehicles were brought to the police station and were taken into custody after observing all legal formalities. The case has been booked under relevant section of law and investigation on going, added PRO.
