4 products of Dimapur based SHGs launched

Four value added products by Nagaland Forest Management Project (NFMP) Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) supported Self Help Groups (SHGs) under Divisional Management Unit (DMU) Dimapur was launched on November 24 at Made in Nagaland Centre, Kohima.
A press release by forest ranger-cum-field management unit head, Medziphema Beat, Dimapur division informed that the products were launched by deputy project director JFMC, Community Development, Livelihood and IGA) NFMP-JICA Nagaland, Rama Shankar Prasad.
In his address, Prasad acknowledged the support received to promote and market the products of women SHGs.
In the welcome address, director YouthNet, Nuneseno Chase highlighted the objectives of the Expo Centre and called for collaboration with other divisions to source value added products from the NFMP supported SHGs and assist them in product development, value addition, and marketing.
During the event, FMU head and range in-charge Medziphema, Florence T. Sangtam highlighted the ongoing NFMP activities at Dimapur Division.
Project Management Consultant (PMC) Livelihood expert, Pravanjan Mohapatra also acknowledged the “landmark initiative” to promote local products and empower women SHGs under NFMP.
The programme chaired by team leader, FNGO Dimapur, Imliwapang and attended by the FNGO team, and Youth Net Team and DMU Dimapur team.
