Nagaland Shooting Sports Association (NSSA) conducted the 4th Hornbill Shooting Competition in the newly inaugurated NSSA Shooting Complex at the Multi Disciplinary Sports Complex, Dimapur from December 2-5, 2022.
On the first day registration and pre-event trainings were conducted.
On the second day, state chief minister Neiphiu Rio declared the competition open after inaugurating the Shooting Complex.
A total of 109 participants were registered for the three competition events of 10 M Air Pistol, 10 M Air Rifle and 50 M Prone (.22 Cal) for Men and Women category.
A new entry to the competition was from the Nagaland Police Rifle Club (NPRC), a club directly affiliated to the NSSA.
The winners of each events received cash prize (1st-Rs.30,000, 2nd-Rs 20,000 and 3rd-Rs. 10,000) with citations.
