The Aam Aadmi Party has decided to opt out of the 2023 assembly election owing to the fact that scrutiny of over a dozen ticket aspirants indicated that criteria to become official party candidate was found wanting and minimum expected eligibility was not found due to limited time since AAP was only launched in the state on January 25,2023.
Stating this AAP state president Asu Keyho said the decision was made in consultation with the AAP’s Northeast in-charge.
He however assured that AAP would start the campaign for enrolment of membership, and therefore, appealed to all likeminded people who subscribe to a new vision of governance and deliverance for the people of Nagaland to join hands.
Keyho said this would help endeavour to meet the challenges with a new hope for any electoral democratic exercise ahead in the near future.
