All Blacks clinch LMMCC 2023 title

All Blacks emerged as the champion of the Lobenkokba Memorial Morning Champions Cup 2023 (football) by defeating Unity FC 7-2 in the final at IG Stadium Kohima. All Blacks’ Kobou worked his magic as they came from behind to beat Unity FC.

Unity FC started brilliantly and took the lead early on with Mele opening the score line in the 9th minute after an assist from Asezo. Later, Asezo doubled the lead in the 15th minute and made it look like the defending champions would run riot but fell victim to the brilliance of Kobou who drew his team level before the break by scoring in the 38th and 45th minute.

It was All Blacks who turned things around in the second half as Kobou completed his hattrick in the 86th minute while also assisted Keze for his goal in the 80th minute. Visa scored a brace while Akho also contributed a goal to put the final nail in the coffin and convincingly win the match 7-2.
