ANDIETFA appeals for DIETs in all districts


All Nagaland District Institutions of Education and Training Faculty Association (ANDIETFA) has appealed to the government for setting up District Institute of Education & Trainings (DIETs) in all the districts.
The representation containing the request was handed to commission and secretary of School Education, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) and Economics & Statistics, Kevileno Angami by All Nagaland District Institutions of Education & Training Faculty Association at its first general conference held under the theme ‘Inspiring Change’ at Capital Convention Centre, Kohima on November 25.
The association also appealed for establishment of BITEs in proposed blocks and up gradation of existing DIETs to multi-disciplinary institutions with 4 year B.Ed integrated course.
Earlier, Kevileno Angami graced the conference as special guest and reminded the teachers that they were the nurtures of the future citizens, and therefore encouraged them to realize their roles and responsibilities.
Guest of honour, director, State Council of Educational Research and Training, N. Chumchabeni Kikon, who shared on the status of the education sector said that out of the 9337 primary teachers in 1770 (GPS-1032) Government Schools, 1675 teachers were still untrained.
