ANMs, ASHAs trained on HBYC

A three-day training on Home Based Care for Young Child (HBYC) was held for Urban Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs) on January 9-11 at Conference Hall, Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Mokokchung office.
A press release by CMO Mokokchung office informed that the training was monitored by PMCH from Directorate of Health Family Welfare, Nagaland, Benjungtoshi Jamir.
The trainees were trained on the role of HBYC, planning home visits for HBYC, addressing social vulnerability to improve coverage of children, early childhood development, growth chart monitoring, iron folic acid supplementation, full immunization and immunization details in MCP card. The trainers included district community mobilizer, consultant NUHM, Block ASHA Co-ordinators and Community Health Officers. The training for Mangkolemba, Alongkima and Tsurangkong blocks would commence from January 17-25.
