ANPSA Zunheboto unit organises solo singing and group dance competitions

Supported by Task Force of Music and Arts (TAFMA), the All-Nagaland Private School Association (ANPSA) Zunheboto unit in collaboration with Green Club Zunheboto organised a solo singing competition and group dance competition on October 31 at Cornerstone Higher Secondary School Hall.
Elliote V. Awomi, a student of Cornerstone Higher Secondary School emerged as the winner of the solo competition, while Milo H. Jimo of Sunbeam School and Kanatoli Zhimomi of Bloomfield Hill Higher Secondary School bagged the first and second runners-up respectively.
Winners of the group dance competition was Cornerstone Higher Secondary School, Kids World Montessori emerged as the first runner-up and Seven Home School was adjudged the second runners-up.
The judges for the solo competitions were Kito S. Awomi, Abotoli S. Achumi and P.K Toli while for the group dance competition were Mughaka V. Awomi, Holoka T. Sumi and Akina T. Assumi.
President ANPSA (Z), Vincent Sukhalu, while delivering the welcome address said that the motive behind organising the event was to create some kind of fun and entertainment programme for the students of the town with all the lessons and studies going on throughout the year.
Despite the students being busy with their studies, Sukhalu maintained that apart from schools’ curricular activities, extra co-curricular activities such as song, dance and sports plays an important role for true and all-round development of the students.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by general secretary Green Club, Angukato H. Achumi, invocation was pronounced by counsellor Love Dale School, Vivek Yeptho, special presentations by Cornerstone Hr. Secondary School and Little Spring School while vote of thanks was proposed by vice president ANPSA (Z), Toighi Zhimomi and concluded with a benediction said by chaplain Immanuel Hr. Secondary School, Atokali Chishi.
