Advisor of Water Resources, Namri Nchang graced the All Nchangram Students’ Union (ANSU) golden jubilee as the special guest on January 10.
A report by DIPR stated that the jubilee was observed under the theme “Achieving Pioneers Vision with Excellence.”
Speaking at celebration, Namri said jubilee itself was a milestone achievement and people were reminded of the sacrifices and hardships rendered by the pioneers under whose leadership and guidance the union attained 50th glorious years. He said the momentous event also reminded the growth and achievement made by the students’ community of Nchangram and were the fruits and visions of the leaders of yesteryears.
Namri acknowledged all the leaders of ANSU for their laudable services and contributions towards bringing positive transformation in the village. He encouraged the youngsters and students to give more effort to preserve and promote the traditions and culture. He also urged the gathering to honor and respect the elders and parents and fear God first.
Namri advised the parents present in the programme to guide and mould their children to be competent in this competitive world to achieve greater heights while students were asked to pursue academic career with dedication and hard work.
Highlights of the programme were- a special presentation by Nchangram Village Youth Organisation and a traditional folk song by Tiakgang and jubilee greetings by the Naga Students Federation representative Benreu students union, and late Dihabo Kaurinta family who was also the first government teacher at Nchangram village.
