Assam Rifles as part of the civic action programme, conducted various activities across the state. Assam Rifles organized a “Wreath Laying Ceremony” on March 13,2025, at the Unit War Memorial in Kohima, to honour and remember the valiant soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The ceremony paid tribute to Rifleman (general Duty) late Nadan Singh, who sacrificed his life while fighting insurgents on March 13, 1961 in Mon district. A total of 160 personnel, paid tribute to his courage and dedication.
The event also included an interaction with his family, expressing gratitude for his sacrifice.
In another programme at Bhandari, Assam Rifles held a special medical camp under Operation Sadbhavana at Bhandari, with the theme “Building Goodwill and Community Harmony.”
The purpose of the camp was to provide comprehensive essential healthcare services to the villagers who often face challenges in accessing quality medical care.
The camp was held in collaboration with the Community Health Centre Bhandari. At the camp, blood sugar and special emphasis on diabetes screening and treatment were conducted. At total of 125 villagers were examined at the camp.
