In efforts to contribute in preserving and promoting healthy and clean environment under theme Swachha Bharat Abhiyan, Assam Rifles battalion under the aegis of IGAR (N) conducted mass cleanliness drive in Peren on May 26.
PRO defence in a press release informed that at the drive, ward chairman and youth were briefed about how government was accelerating the efforts to achieve universal sanitation coverage and focus on sanitation. Meanwhile, Assam Rifles also organised blood donation camp in collaboration with Blood Bank Lions Club, Jorhat and District Hospital, Mokokchung on May 26. The aim was to collect and provide blood group units for critical patients who face difficulty to manage rare blood group at times of emergency.
