Jalukie Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) conducted security meet at Njauna village Peren district on January 31.
According to PRO defence, the aim of the security meet was to discuss issues related to security of the area for the upcoming assembly election in Nagaland. During meeting, various issues concerning the security of the region such as sharing of information for any untoward incident, coordination and convergence on the issues of mutual interest were deliberately discussed.
Attendees were also informed about likely security threats along the border areas and also about the relentless efforts of the security forces to maintain peace and harmony for conducting free and fair elections in the region. The event concluded with health check-up and distribution of essential medicines where 38 villagers were benefited.
