AR organise veterinary camp

Mokokchung battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized a free Veterinary Camp at Veterinary Hospital, Yimyu Ward, Mokokchung on February 7 under Operation Sadbhavana Project.
According PRO defense, the event was primarily organised keeping in view the paucity of veterinary medical facilities in the area and provide veterinary support at the doorstep for the poor livestock and animal of villagers.
The battalion has carried out wide publicity well in advance so that maximum people could avail the benefits for their animals.
The camp was conducted under the supervision of Veterinary Representatives from Mobile Field Veterinary Hospital of Dimapur and medical staff of Mokokchung battalion.
More than 3000 animals including dogs, cattle, goats, poultry in all categories were treated. Veterinary medication was distributed free of cost to pet owners and animal farmers were educated on hygiene and sanitation of their livestock.
