AR organises welfare activities

As part of its Civic Action Programme, Assam Rifles under the aegis of headquarters Inspector General of Assam Rifles (IGAR-North) conducted various welfare activities across the state.
Jalukie battalion organised a medical camp at Old Beisumpui village, Peren on November 17. At the camp, 85 villagers including 20 children were treated for various ailments and necessary medicines were provided. The battalion also conducted awareness campaign to include motivational lecture, guidance and counselling for Sainik School aspirants at Government Middle School, Jalukie in Peren on November 16. At the event, students were counselled and motivated to join Sainik School – the premier feeder institute for National Defence Academy. The students were briefed in detail about various academic and co-curricular activities that form routine at Sainik Schools. A total of 31 students and seven school staffers attended.
