To commemorate the 9th International Yoga Day, various battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organized a yoga camp in Kohima and Tuensang.
Kohima battalion organised a yoga camp for the children and families of garrison at Kohima on May 28. During the event, the families were taught about yoga asanas and their benefits. The event was attended by 55 families and 18 children.
At, Chieswema, troops and families took active participation in the yoga workshop as a precursor to the upcoming International Yoga Day. Various Yog Asanas were practiced during the event.
In Tuensang, the yoga camo was organsied for families and children under the initiative of “Har Angaan Yoga” on May 27.
The Yoga camp was attended by 30 families and 27 children. Various postures of yoga and its benefits were imparted to all the attendees.
